Beginning on February 11th, the four-part Faith Leaders Civic Engagement Academy energizes faith and environmental justice communities through trainings in collaboration with the SC Office of Minority Affairs and the SC Audubon. The goal of the Academy is to educate individuals on how to engage and organize to bring about needed change. So far, 17 faith leaders have graduated from the Faith Leaders Civic Engagement Academy.
Participants have the opportunity to take what they learn and apply it to a specific cause through hands on civic work, at the end of the course. Additionally, members will be invited to participate in a bird walk hosted by Audubon, to be scheduled after registration. Experience the planet that faith leaders everywhere are working so hard to protect.
