SUMMARY:Energy Democracy Town Hall
DESCRIPTION:Join South Carolina Interfaith Power & Light\, and the Sierra Club\, for a town hall to discuss rising energy prices and utility bills across South Carolina. As the major utility providers continue to petition regulators and lawmakers to raise rates\, you\, as a citizen have the right to be heard. \n\n\n\nOur hope is to identify individuals willing to submit public comments to legislators and members of the SC Public Service Commission – one of South Carolina’s energy regulatory bodies – to requests rates not be raised on families. In addition\, we will have pamphlets and information about where individuals and families can find local resources for immediate assistance with utility costs.
